Valved or Unvalved – Do you know the difference?

image

  • An unvalved respirator provides two-way protection: protecting both the wearer and the patient.
  • A  valved respirator will only protect the wearer.

When wearing respirators in sterile or healthcare environments, we advice unvalved respirators be worn to prevent any potential cross-contamination.

The new Custom-Fit Easimask FFP3 respirator offers greater breathability and comfort for the wearer, while providing two-way protection from respiratory viruses and infections. Protecting staff and patients at the same time.

All tight-fitting respirators must be face fit tested before initial use to ensure a suitable seal can be achieved.
