HSE RPE Inspections

image

This HSE training video from the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) highlights a few of the different requirements their inspectors assess when evaluating an organisation’s Respiratory Protection Equipment (RPE) Programme.

The use of RPE is required by law. It is the last defence of workers to protect themselves from harmful hazards in the air where they work.

Despite the hazards being relatively well known – correct, safe and legal RPE use is not up to the standard that it should be.
